Aptus utilities work with developers in the heart of busy neighbourhoods, whether on a new housing development or being involved in urban regeneration, we are committed to getting involved in activities where we can make a difference. This takes shape in a number of ways, from employees getting together to take up a sporting challenge, or sponsoring a yacht to enable others to access sports, to our school road safety campaign, and we continually seek out ways to lend our support.

Our Story
Aptus Utilities Ltd was founded in Bolton, in March 2010, out of an ambition to provide a multi-utility solution that streamlines and speeds up building processes for construction companies and to create a business that places customer service and integrity at its core.
The economic recession of 2008 was hugely detrimental to the construction industry, in particular small building firms, while increasingly complex procedures and protracted bureaucracy were obstructing the completion of construction projects. With more than 50 years’ combined industry experience Aptus Utilities’ owners Andrew Reay and Jonathan Holden identified an opportunity to form a business that supports local independent firms as effectively as national housebuilders and helps the construction industry to meet vital targets.
Gas Connections
Get connected to the gas grid with Aptus Utilities. Whether your project requires multi-utility solutions or a single gas connection, our award-winning team of commercial gas engineers will handle the entire process from conception to completion for you.
Being fully accredited through GIRS (Gas Industry Registration Scheme), we supply gas utility infrastructures to businesses of all sizes nationwide. Our clients trust our rigorous evaluation processes and high standards that we apply to all of our multi-utility services.
Water Connections
Leave your water connection in the safe hands of Aptus Utilities. We will get your development project connected to the water network and manage the entire process for you so that you can focus on the day-to-day running of your business.
Our highly experienced team of water supply and engineering experts will design, plan, test and fit your new water connection for you. As part of our service offering, we can install private water pipes (WIAPS).
Electricity Connections
No matter how complex the job, Aptus Utilities will be able to help you with your commercial electricity connection. Accredited by the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS), we provide comprehensive electricity infrastructures, including designing and installing substations.
Over the last ten years, our award-winning electrical engineering team has connected hundreds of commercial clients to the UK’s electricity networks.
Street Lighting
Get smart about your street lighting solution with Aptus Utilities. Fully accredited through the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC), Aptus Utilities deliver street lighting to residential and commercial schemes.
We can also provide CCTV. Our dedicated in-house lighting team have a combined 20 years’ experience within sectors ranging from Housing Developers, Local Authorities, Highways England, Retail and Sports Lighting to working alongside planners and architects to provide a complete lighting solution.
Water Testing and Chlorination
Maintain a safe and reliable water source by testing the quality of your water. Aptus Utilities provides a comprehensive package of Water Services, which includes consultation and design, construction, installation, swabbing, hydrostatic pressure testing, chlorination and sampling.
Thanks to a highly experienced in-house team of water testing engineers utilising top-of-the-range purpose-built vehicles and equipment, we can manage the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of water services for industrial, commercial and residential clients across the UK.
